Our Founding Story

Ultimate Solutions was born in Dubai in 2007, at a time when smart home technology was still an emerging concept.

Where It Began

The story began two years earlier, following our founder's graduation Summa Cum Laude with Honors from San Diego State University in 2005. While assisting with the sales of Le Rêve, one of Dubai Marina's most distinguished residential developments, he became increasingly drawn to the technology being introduced into the show apartments.

In his spare time, he began programming the smart systems within those apartments. What began as an interest quickly became a passion, not simply for the technology itself, but for the possibilities it created when thoughtfully integrated into the way people live.

At the time, much of the industry was focused on installing technology rather than truly integrating it. Systems were often selected around their capabilities, without sufficient consideration for the architecture, the interiors, or the individual needs of the homeowner. This presented an opportunity to do things differently.

What We Set Out To Do

In 2007, Ultimate Solutions was founded on the belief that technology should adapt to the individual, not the other way around. From the outset, our approach has been to bring together technology, design and craftsmanship to create intelligent environments that are intuitive, discreet and deeply personal.

Ease of use has always been fundamental to this philosophy. We believe that sophisticated technology should never require a sophisticated user. The interface should feel natural, intuitive and effortless, allowing homeowners to control and interact with their environment without having to think about the technology behind it.

Today, Ultimate Solutions continues to create highly integrated residential environments where automation, entertainment and technology become an effortless part of the architecture, and of the way our clients live.

Milestones, 2005 To 2025

For more than two decades, Ultimate Solutions has grown and evolved alongside Dubai. From the early days of luxury residential development and emerging smart-home technology to today's sophisticated, connected and intelligent living environments, our founding principle has remained the same: technology should adapt to the individual, remain effortless to use, and enhance the experience of the space rather than compete with it.

2006
The Moment The Idea For Ultimate Solutions Began
Speaking at a home automation conference at the Burj Al Arab, our founder, Jana Malhas, found himself covering the technology, not just the customer's perspective he had been invited to share. It showed him the market focused on the system, not the person using it. The idea was simple: technology should be designed around people. That realization led him to establish Ultimate Solutions.
2005–2007
Ultimate Solutions Was Born — Entering Dubai's Luxury Residential Market
As Dubai's luxury developments reshaped the residential landscape, demand for home automation grew. Recognising the opportunity, Ultimate Solutions was born to bring these emerging technologies into luxury homes.
2008–2010
Building Our High-End Niche Through Selective Projects And Global Brands
The 2008 financial crisis shifted Dubai's property market toward selectivity and long-term relationships. We focused on select clients in Emirates Hills, gained KNX and Crestron certifications, and began working with high-end entertainment brands such as Dynaudio and Meridian.
2010–2014
Expanding From Home Automation To Energy-Efficient Building Systems
As Dubai introduced stricter green-building standards, automation evolved from convenience toward energy management — lighting, HVAC and occupancy control. We evolved alongside it, from smart-home programming into integrated building and residential control.
2013
International Recognition — Best Crestron Home In The Middle East
Ultimate Solutions won Best Crestron Home in the Middle East, a milestone that raised expectations for design quality, sustainability and user experience across the industry.
2014–2017
A Major Milestone — Our First Exclusive Luxury Tower
We were awarded our first exclusive residential tower, Volante 1, in Business Bay. Its scale led us to build our own electrical team and gain Dubai Police certification for CCTV, expanding our capabilities into security. We won Mobotix's Best Newcomer Award and drew coverage from international publications.
2017
Embracing The Future — From Smart Homes To Intelligent Living
As the UAE launched its national AI strategy, “smart home” evolved from remote control to a home that understands and responds to how people live. Ultimate Solutions adopted the mission: technology should adapt to the individual, not the other way around.
2018–2019
Scaling Our Expertise, Volante 2
As Dubai's luxury market matured and client expectations rose, the advantage shifted from what technology was installed to how well it worked together. We were awarded Volante 2, the successor to Volante 1.
2020–2021
Launching Our Maintenance Division — Covid-19
As the home became workplace, school and gym through the pandemic, demand grew for reliable automation and aftercare. We opened our maintenance department in 2022 to strengthen long-term system support.
2022
Expo 2020 Legacy, Growing Awareness Of Automation
Expo 2020 drove a wave of construction and technology activity, with smart buildings shifting toward sustainability, wellness and intelligent infrastructure — broadening awareness of automation beyond the traditional smart home.
2022–2024
A New Era Of Growth, Expanding Our Luxury Residential Portfolio
Dubai's luxury real estate resurgence hit record transaction volumes by 2024. We were awarded a three-plot private residential villa alongside a leading developer, and used the three-year engagement to formalise our processes, policies and documentation.
2023–2025
Resilience Through Uncertainty, Continuing To Deliver
Amid regional geopolitical uncertainty, we maintained progress on both Volante 2 and the luxury villa, reinforcing our commitment to deliver even through challenging circumstances.
